What is Cona?

Cona is a free, browser-based 3D room design tool. You recreate your real room in true-to-scale 3D, design it with real furniture you can actually buy, and see what fits before spending anything.

Is Cona free?

Yes. Designing and furnishing as many rooms as you like is free, and you don't need an account to start. The floor plan editor, the full furniture catalog, room scanning, saving, publishing and sharing are all free, with no credits, no watermarks and no trial that bills you later. Photo-to-3D furniture imports are free and uncapped. The one thing that needs you signed in is Imagine, the AI photoreal enhancement in the post composer, which is free too. Cona earns a commission when you buy furniture through one of its links, and that is what keeps the rest free.

Do I need to create an account?

No. You can open a furnished room from the homepage and start editing with no sign-up. A free account is only needed to save your rooms so they follow you across devices, to build a phone scan into a 3D room and keep it, or to use Imagine. More on that at cona.design/free-room-planner-no-sign-up.

Do I need to download anything?

No. Cona runs entirely in the browser, on desktop and mobile. There is no app to install.

How do I recreate my own room?

Draw your floor plan with your real dimensions in a few minutes, or capture the room with your phone's camera. Either way you get an editable 3D model of your actual space, not a generic template.

Can I scan my room with my phone?

Yes. Sweep the room with your phone's camera, any phone, no LiDAR needed, and Cona rebuilds the walls as a 3D room to correct and furnish. You can capture without an account; building the scan into a 3D room and keeping it asks you to sign in, so the room can reach the editor on any device.

Is the furniture real?

Yes. The catalog contains real products with real prices from brands like IKEA, CB2 and Herman Miller. They are actual products you can own, not filler models.

Can I buy the furniture I place in my room?

Yes. Each catalog piece links to the retailer's product page, so once the layout feels right you can buy the exact pieces in it.

Does Cona earn money when I buy furniture?

Sometimes, and it never changes your price. The retailer links in Cona are affiliate links: if you buy through one, the retailer may pay us a commission, including through the Amazon Associates program. It costs you nothing extra, it does not decide which pieces we show you, and Cona is not a party to the purchase. See cona.design/terms.

Can I add furniture that is not in the catalog?

Yes. Upload a photo of a furniture piece and Cona turns it into a 3D model you can place in your room.

Are the rooms true to scale?

Yes. Rooms and furniture use real-world measurements, so what fits on screen fits in real life.

What kinds of rooms can I design?

Any room: bedrooms, living rooms, studios, home offices, kitchens. If you can draw its floor plan or scan it, you can design it.

Can I start from a room someone else made?

Yes. Browse rooms at cona.design/spaces and open any of them in the editor, already furnished, with no login. Change anything you like.

What happens to my design if I do not sign up?

Your draft stays saved on the device you used, so you can close the tab and pick it up later in the same browser. Create a free account to keep it permanently and access it anywhere.

How is Cona different from Planner 5D, Homestyler or RoomSketcher?

Cona lets you start with no sign-up, has no coins or credits, and its catalog is real furniture you can buy at a real price. The others gate different things: Planner 5D gives you unlimited projects but about half its catalog, and RoomSketcher's free tier is two credits.
