- What is Cona?
- Cona is a free, browser-based 3D room design tool. You recreate your real room in true-to-scale 3D, design it with real furniture you can actually buy, and see what fits before spending anything.
- Is Cona free?
- Yes. Cona is free to use and there is no paid tier. You can design and furnish as many rooms as you like at no cost.
- Do I need to create an account?
- No. You can open a furnished room from the homepage and start editing with no sign-up. A free account is only needed to save your rooms so they follow you across devices.
- Do I need to download anything?
- No. Cona runs entirely in the browser, on desktop and mobile. There is no app to install.
- How do I recreate my own room?
- Draw your floor plan with your real dimensions in a few minutes, or capture the room with an iPhone scan. Either way you get an editable 3D model of your actual space, not a generic template.
- Can I scan my room with my phone?
- Yes. Using an iPhone, you can capture your room and Cona maps the dimensions, walls, doors and windows. Scanning uses a free account so the scan can sync from your phone to the editor.
- Is the furniture real?
- Yes. The catalog contains real products with real prices from brands like IKEA, CB2 and Herman Miller. They are actual products you can own, not filler models.
- Can I buy the furniture I place in my room?
- Yes. Each catalog piece links to the retailer's product page, so once the layout feels right you can buy the exact pieces in it.
- Can I add furniture that is not in the catalog?
- Yes. Upload a photo of a furniture piece and Cona turns it into a 3D model you can place in your room.
- Are the rooms true to scale?
- Yes. Rooms and furniture use real-world measurements, so what fits on screen fits in real life.
- What kinds of rooms can I design?
- Any room: bedrooms, living rooms, studios, home offices, kitchens. If you can draw its floor plan or scan it, you can design it.
- Can I start from a room someone else made?
- Yes. Browse rooms at cona.design/spaces and open any of them in the editor, already furnished, with no login. Change anything you like.
- What happens to my design if I do not sign up?
- Your draft stays saved on the device you used, so you can close the tab and pick it up later in the same browser. Create a free account to keep it permanently and access it anywhere.
- How is Cona different from Planner 5D, Homestyler or RoomSketcher?
