What you can do

Everything a room planner should do, free

Your real room, true to scale

Type the real length of each wall, put the doors and windows where they are, and the room on screen is the room you live in. What fits here fits there.

Three ways to start

Draw the walls in the plan view, upload a photo or PDF of a floor plan and let Cona trace it, or sweep the room with your phone's camera. No LiDAR needed; most phone cameras work.

Real furniture, real prices

The catalog is real products from IKEA, CB2, Herman Miller and others, with their listed prices, each linking to the retailer. Filter it to pieces that fit your longest free wall.

One tap furnishes the room

Cona AI lays out a whole room around your walls, doors and windows in about a second. Keep it, clear it, or drag anything you want to change.

Plan in 2D, judge in 3D

Draw and measure in the plan view, then look at the room from any angle in 3D. The measure tool checks clearances before you buy.

Keep it, share it

Share any room by link, account or not. A draft stays in your browser and a copy is saved to Cona; a free account carries the room between your devices.

How it works

Plan a room in three steps

01

Draw it or scan it

Type in your real measurements, upload the floor plan, or sweep the room with your phone. Put the door and the windows where they are.

02

Furnish it and check the fit

Let Cona AI place a set in one tap, or drag in real pieces yourself. Everything is true to scale, so the walking space you see is the walking space you get.

03

Buy what fits

Every piece links to its retailer with its listed price. The checkout groups your room by store, so the Amazon pieces go into one cart.

2D and 3D

A floor plan tells you where. 3D tells you whether.

A 2D floor plan is the right place to draw: walls, doors, windows, a measurement here and there. It is a poor place to decide. Whether a sofa crowds the window, whether the bed blocks the wardrobe door, whether the desk gets any light: those are questions you answer by standing in the room, and 3D is the closest thing to standing in it.

Cona gives you both in one editor. Draw in the plan view, switch to 3D with one tap, move things in either, and come back as often as you like. Interior walls make it work for a whole apartment, not just one room.

On your phone

The same planner, in your pocket

There is no app to install. Open cona.design in Safari on iPhone or Chrome on Android, choose Add to Home Screen (under Share on iPhone, under the browser menu on Android), and it opens full screen. The phone is also the best place to capture a room: sweep the walls once with the camera and Cona rebuilds them as a 3D room you can correct and furnish.

You can capture without an account. Building the scan into a 3D room happens on our servers and asks you to sign in, so the finished room can reach the editor on your laptop too.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is Cona's 3D room planner free?+

Yes. Drawing, furnishing and viewing as many rooms as you like in 3D is free, with no credits, no watermarks and no trial that bills you later.

Do I need an account to use the room planner?+

No. Draw your own room or open a furnished one straight away, and share it by link without signing in. A free account is only needed to carry a room between devices or to build a phone scan into a 3D room and keep it.

Is there a room planner app for iPhone or Android?+

Cona runs in the browser on iPhone and Android, so there is nothing to download. Add it to your home screen (Share on iPhone, the browser menu on Android) and it opens full screen, like an app.

Can I plan from a floor plan I already have?+

Yes. Upload a photo or a PDF screenshot of the floor plan and Cona traces the walls, doors and windows with AI in about twenty seconds. You then set one real measurement so the room is to scale.

Can I plan more than one room?+

Yes. The plan view draws interior walls, so one plan can hold a whole apartment: bedroom, living room, kitchen and the hallway between them.

Can I buy the furniture I place?+

Yes. Every catalog piece is a real product with its listed price, and the checkout groups your room by store, so the Amazon pieces can be added to a cart in one link and the rest link out to their own shops. Some of those links earn Cona a commission; the price you pay is the same.

How is Cona different from Planner 5D or RoomSketcher?+

Three things: it is free with no credits or watermarks, it runs in the browser on any device with nothing to install, and the furniture in it is real products you can buy. The comparison pages go through each tool in detail.
