Free apartment layout planner
Plan the whole apartment, room by room, before you move in.
Cona is a free apartment layout planner that runs in your browser. Upload the floor plan from the listing (a photo or a screenshot of the PDF) and Cona traces the walls, doors and windows in about 20 seconds. You can also draw the outline yourself from your real dimensions. Add interior walls so one plan holds the bedroom, the living room and the rest, then furnish each room in 3D with real furniture at the retailer's dimensions. No sign-up to start, nothing to install.

How it works
A whole apartment, in three steps
Get the floor plan in
On the create page, search your city, building or address, or start a blank room and upload the listing's floor plan: a photo or a screenshot of a PDF page, up to 8 MB. The AI traces the walls, doors and windows in about 20 seconds; correct anything it missed.
Check the scale and split the rooms
Compare one wall against a length you know, or use Resize to set the total floor area. Then draw the interior walls with the Wall tool; their ends snap to the outer walls, so each room is measured on its own.
Furnish room by room
Tap Furnish over an empty room for a one-tap set from Cona AI, or place real pieces yourself. Then walk the apartment in 3D before you buy anything.
One plan, every room
Plan the apartment as it is, not one room at a time
Most room planners give you one box to fill. An apartment is a hallway, a living room, a bedroom or two, a kitchen and a bathroom that share walls, and the layout question is usually about how they connect: which way the bedroom door swings, whether the sofa blocks the route to the balcony, where the desk fits. Cona keeps the whole plan in one place, so you see those connections in 3D.
Cona AI (labelled Furnish in the editor) has sets for living rooms, bedrooms, dorms, studios and home offices. Kitchens and bathrooms have no set: you plan them with built-in pieces under Tools, Kitchen and Bathroom, such as cabinets, appliances, vanities and showers. Those are planning pieces with no price, not products to buy.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is there a free apartment layout planner?+
Yes, Cona is free: tracing or drawing the apartment, splitting it into rooms, furnishing it and walking it in 3D cost nothing, with no credits, no watermarks and no account to start.
Can I upload my apartment's floor plan instead of drawing it?+
Yes. Upload a photo of the listing's floor plan or a screenshot of it, up to 8 MB, and the AI traces the walls, doors and windows in about 20 seconds. Then you correct anything it missed and confirm.
Can I plan several rooms in one floor plan?+
Yes. Draw the interior walls with the Wall tool and their ends snap to the outer walls, so one plan holds the bedroom, the living room, the kitchen and the rest, and each room is measured on its own.
Will the apartment be the right size?+
Only once you have checked it, because the trace reads the scale from the entrance door and can be a few percent off. Compare one wall against a length you know, or use Resize to type the total floor area from the listing, and the whole plan follows.
Can I find my building's floor plan already made?+
Sometimes. Search your city, building or address on the create page: some buildings and residence halls have layouts ready to open, while others are found but not traced yet, and then you upload or draw the plan yourself.
Does it work with a PDF floor plan?+
Yes, as an image: take a screenshot of the PDF page or export it as an image, then upload that. The upload accepts images, not PDF files directly.
Do I need an account?+
No. Search, upload, trace, draw and furnish without signing up. A free account is only needed to carry the design between devices, to scan a room with a desktop camera, or to edit together with someone.
Can I furnish the kitchen too?+
You can lay it out, but Cona AI has no kitchen set. Plan the kitchen with built-in cabinets, islands and appliances under Tools, Kitchen; they are planning pieces with no price, while the shoppable catalog covers stools, dining tables and other furniture.
